Frank Tobias, certified independent saddle fitter, also provides complete saddle evaluations and fitting of most fine English saddles, including adjustments to saddle tree and flocking, in Wellington, Ocala, and throughout Florida, by appointment.

The Shelby. A whole new design approach to the dressage saddle. The Shelby is a fully adjustable & customizable deep seat dressage saddle with my new patented design. Offering incredible shoulder freedom, superior contact with the weight-bearing area of the horse’s back, & a narrow twist for the rider’s leg. The Capistrano dressage saddle is also available for hard-to-fit horses requiring a more curved tree.

Handcrafted in England from the finest leather - soft, yet durable - this saddle is now offered in 17, 17.5, and 18 inch seats. We have lots of saddles on our van for you to try, or you can order your truly custom Shelby in a variety of leathers, piping and stitch -- to be handcrafted in England and ready for delivery in six weeks.
My newly patented comfort bridge panel design has been years in the making. My goal: to bring greater comfort to the back of the horse without compromising the comfort of the rider, all while keeping the classical English saddle look.

New Saddle Trials
Measurements of horse and rider, and the opportunity to try up to four new, used or demo saddles of your choice.
Saddle Fitting
Complete evaluation of your saddle, including adjustment of saddle tree and flocking, as needed. Prices start at $275 for most brands.
Saddle Reflocking & Repairs
Including replacement of wool flocking, replacement of billets, repairs to stitching and leather.
Billet replacement is $50 per billet. Other prices upon request.
Frank and Ariana Chia
Frank grew up in North Palm Beach, Florida, just minutes from Wellington. Working with fine handcraftmanship for over 30 years - first, restoring vintage racecars with a specialty in Porsches and Ferraris - and for the last 20 years working with horses, Frank has fit saddles for thousands of horses, working with riders from Intro to Olympic level in jumpers, hunters, eventing and dressage. Through his understanding of biomechanics of horse and rider, Frank could see the flaws and limitations of saddles on the market. He decided to design his own saddle - one that would insure the greatest comfort and freedom for the horse, with a seat that allows correct balance and position for the rider. After many years of research and trials, the Shelby dressage saddle with patented comfort panel design was born!
